Rose & Bee connects local mahjong players with more ways to play. American Mah Jongg, in person, with people who live near you.
Have a look around first — you do not need an account to see whether anyone is playing near you.
Put a match on the calendar — a date, a place, a time — and everyone can see it and take a seat. No more working out who is free by asking around, and no more hearing about Saturday on Saturday.
Hosting and hoping someone in particular can make it? Hold a seat for them — up to three — and they will be told it is waiting. It stays theirs until they say yes, so nobody is signed up for an evening without meaning to be.
All four seats gone? Put your name down anyway — two names wait behind every table. If somebody has to drop out, the first name moves into the seat and hears about it straight away, so nobody sits refreshing the page hoping.
Sometimes more people want to play than one table seats, and that is a lovely problem. Set out up to eight tables at the same place and time, and anyone can offer to host one.
Who is bringing what, who is running late, where to park. Everyone at the table can talk in one place — the people on the waiting list too — so the arrangements stay with the match instead of scattered across texts.
Enter the scores when you finish and they are yours to keep — a whole season of them, on a scoreboard, with nobody stuck maintaining a spreadsheet. Your history stays with you even if you move communities.
Have a look and see. If a community is playing near you, come and join it — and if one is still coming together, add your name and we will tell you the moment it is ready to start.
